RECREATION LAND
Stimson owns and manages approximately 600,000 acres of commercial timberland in Oregon, Idaho, Montana, and Washington. Throughout the year, we open our timberlands for outdoor recreation. Walk-in access is limited to activities compatible with our management goals and forest operations.
Plan Accordingly!
Outdoor activities include: hiking, biking, hunting, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing (except during periods of high fire danger). Camping, campfires, firewood cutting, and operating motorized vehicles off road or on closed roads are prohibited on Stimson lands. If you plan to visit a private forest, please respect the work and the environment. Follow the steps below to have a fun and safe trip.
