The Plummer mill is a true small log mill utilizing logs smaller than the average sawmill. Many of the logs processed here are extracted from traditional pulp log sorts. The mill efficiently processes logs ranging in size from 4” small end diameter up to a 12” butt diameter at a high rate of speed through a single pass log breakdown system.
The mill is thirty-five miles south of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho in the small community of Plummer, Idaho. The area is surrounded by Stimson Lumber Company timber holdings as well as other industrial and private log suppliers.
The Plummer mill produces dimensional lumber (2”x3”, 2”x4” and 2”x6”) in lengths from 6’ to 10’ out of Douglas-fir/Larch, Whitewood and Cedar species. The mill also produces 1” dog-eared fencing, and 4/4 boards and 5/4 decking.
The Plummer mill is served by the Union Pacific Railroad and can connect to the Burlington Northern and Santa Fe Railroad and offers center beam car loadings across the U.S. We also offer loading for maxi trucks, flatbed trucks, and van loadings to fit your customers ever changing needs.
